The World Series of Poker Paradise has concluded following an enormously successful run of events and an overwhelmingly positive reception from the community of players and fans alike.
Now, it's time to bring the focus back to preparation for the WSOP's bread and butter--what they do best--the summer series. Fittingly, the WSOP announced today the dates for the 2024 World Series of Poker--the 55th annual iteration of the tournament series.
WSOP 2024 will take place once again at Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas from May 28th to July 17th. The Main Event of the series--poker's most prestigious tournament--runs from July 3rd to 17th and will offer players four starting flights to choose from, as well as the option to buy in directly on Day 2.
A tough act to follow
The 2023 WSOP shattered numerous tournament records while awarding more than $400,000,000 in prize pools. The summer highlights included the record-breaking field of 10,043 entrants in the Main Event. Daniel Weinman made history winning the largest-ever Main Event prize of $12,100,000, edging out Jamie Gold as the tournament's biggest winner.
“There’s not much more that can be said about what a special year 2023 was for the WSOP and the game of poker,” said Ty Stewart, SVP and Executive Director of the World Series of Poker. “But it’s time to turn the page and begin the countdown to 2024. Records are made to be broken. We’re busy on improvements to make sure 2024 is both the biggest and best event in poker history. Mark your calendars and bank those vacation days. We’ll see you in Vegas.”
The full daily event schedule typically releases in early 2024, but players can rest easy knowing some fan favorites will return, including the Mystery Millions, Millionaire Maker, and the Senior's Championship. Further details regarding the event schedule and tournament offerings should come in the new year.
