James McManus is the author of Positively Fifth Street and ten other books. His work has appeared in The New Yorker, New York Times, Harper’s, Grantland, The Atlantic, and Best American anthologies of poetry, sports writing, political writing, magazine writing, and science and nature writing. He was born in the Bronx and teaches at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
