Should poker's Black Friday happen again?

I used to think that it was possible to fix the poker landscape through incremental changes, like if the biggest site in the world stopped using the agent system to bypass payment processing fees, stopped flouting UIGEA, stopped willfully ignoring the fact that they had customers from ring-fenced jurisdictions using VPNs and even covertly encouraged such use.

It kills me to say this because I understand the reputational damage that this will bring to our game, but I do think we need another Black Friday type incident. It's just gone too far with these operators running roughshod over laws for too long. We need to clean house. So much of our industry is in the hands of money launderers -- money being rinsed through poker companies for who knows what criminal activities. There are dodgy payment processors. It's just all gotten too, too dirty. Our game needs a proper cleansing and it probably has to come from some sort of drastic thing now. About 70% of our industry is now gray or black and that's f**king awful.
