Multiple states, including Connecticut, Florida, Maryland, Michigan, and New York are considering legislation that would prohibit "sweeps" model online poker and casino games. In other states, the state Attorney General has issued cease-and-desist letters or subpoenas to such operators. VGW (the parent of Global Poker) has announced that they will be pulling out of the Nevada market on April 15th.
These developments could spell trouble not only for Global Poker, but also ClubWPT Gold, which is spending millions on bootstrapping its US/Canada "sweeps" offering.

Do the legal storm clouds worry you, or do you just play on them until you can't any more?
