Where should I eat when I’m playing poker in Tunica, Mississippi?

If you find yourself in Tunica wondering where to grab a bite, you’ll likely end up in one of the casinos in the immediate area. If you’re playing poker, then you’re at Horseshoe Tunica, the only casino that currently offers poker in the area.

Horseshoe Tunica is right next to Gold Strike Casino, so if you’re looking for someplace near the poker tables to grab food, those are the best options. Inside Horseshoe Tunica, I recommend Jack Binion’s Steak for a nice dinner at a steakhouse. If you’re looking for something a little quicker, Lucky 8 Asian Bistro features surprisingly authentic Asian cuisine and reasonable prices. Guy Fieri’s Kitchen & Bar is also on-site, but it’s a but pricey in my opinion; the food is good and the portions are big, but you’ll pay a premium. If all else fails, there’s a Starbucks next to the hotel lobby.

If you’re there for a few days and you’re looking to go off property, you have a bit of a drive to make it worth it. Memphis isn’t too far, and some delicious Memphis BBQ is worth the drive if you’re able. About 45 minutes away, I’d recommend either Central BBQ in Memphis. Slightly closer, but just as delicious, is Memphis BBQ Co. about 30 minutes away in Horn Lake. Time it right and hit one of these spots on the way in or out of the Memphis airport.
