Of course there are plenty of 5 star sushi restaurants in Vegas, but as a sushi lover, I like AYCE (All you can eat) restaurants the best because I just never know how much or how little I want of any menu item.

Living in Vegas, I can’t say I’ve tried every one, as there are hundreds, but I have certainly tried many AYCE, yet I keep going back to Umiya Sushi located across the street from the Palms on Flamingo.

I’ve never had a bad experience there and frequent their restaurant at least 2-3x a month.

Here are some highlights:

  • They have more sashimi items on their AYCE than any place I’ve been to.
  • Just try one of their ‘no rice’ rolls! (Wrapped in a cucumber instead!)
  • Their dinner menu includes any two sashimi specialty dishes (the seared tuna in AJ sauce is my favorite).
  • They have lots of non-sushi items for your friends who haven’t figured out how good sushi really is!
  • Their garlic edamame should win some sort of food trophy.
  • They are an easy 5 minutes from WSOP’s Horseshoe during our favorite time of year.

Make sure you make a reservation on Open Table (yes, they are that popular) no matter when you go.

And no, I’m not a shill; I just really love their food!
