I have study tools for both, cash and MTTs. I'm constantly refreshing myself because much of it concerns the stack depth from which you are playing. In cash, we're always playing deeper; MTTs, we are playing from all stack levels.
I play a lot of high-stakes cash streams. Then I switch over to playing a bunch of tournaments and back to big cash games. I am constantly preparing for the adjustments to each.
When I’m preparing for a cash stream, I'll play smaller stakes, such as $5/$10, to prepare myself before playing a $25/$50 stream. The smaller stakes game will help me get locked in and prepared for high-stakes deep stacks.
I’ll also do some study sessions with someone like Joey Ingram. We did some GTO Wizard sessions together and ran some sims for cash games recently. That will get me out of the tournament mindset and ready to face those big cash games.
Then, I have to switch back to a tournament mindset while preparing for an upcoming series. I will talk to some of the top tournament pros I’m friends with and review some hands at different stack sizes. I will also work on OctopiPoker.ai and practice with their Trainer platform.
