Is there anything you can after winning a big poker pot that doesn't make you sound like a complete jerk?
When the adrenaline is pumping and you're trying to stack all the chips, it's easy to lose your manners. For instance, the biggest cash pot I ever won was in the middle of a three-way all-in. I had the second-nuts but hadn't revealed my hand yet because one of the two other guys in the pot was claiming the nuts. When he finally revealed his hand (not the nuts), I said, "That'll do" before tabling my hand.
In my brain, I meant, "That's what I was hoping to see. I'm really happy I'm winning this pot. That'll do to give me all that money."
To everybody else at the table, it sounded like I meant, "The cards you just turned over are good enough to win they pot."
Woops.
