Curtis King Curtis King

After ten levels of play, the final table could not be reached, and the final 11 players in the $1,700 Main Event have bagged and tagged for the night to return tomorrow, August 17th, at 12:00 pm to play down to a winner.

Leading the is Curtis King who put 11,240,000 into the bag for Day 3 and will be the only player to take over 100 big blinds into play as second place Ryan Dangelo sits nearly two million chips behind with 9,640,000.

However, while the chip leader has over 100 bigt blinds, it is still anyone's game as David Sathue, who sits on the short stack with 2,585,000, still has over 20 big blinds when cards get back in the air at the 60,000/120,000/120,000 big blind level.

The remaining 11 players have all locked up at least $23,731 but have pently to play for with $363,703 up top, the gold WSOP Circuit ring up for grabs and a $5,000 Package to Paradise still on the line.

Final 11 End of Day Chip Counts:

  1. Curtis King - 11,240,000
  2. Ryan Dangelo - 9,640,000
  3. Toby Boas - 8,290,000
  4. Scott Gronroos - 7,730,000
  5. Kataka Eaton - 7,515,000
  6. Donta Moss - 5,150,000
  7. Wayne Harmon - 5,085,000
  8. A.J. Kelsall - 3,410,000
  9. Caio De Lucca Sobral - 3,285,000
  10. Jeremy Eyer - 3,275,000
  11. David Sathue - 2,585,000

Day 2 of the fourth largest Wsop Circuit Main Event in Cherokee history started with 183 players and by the first break the field was already cut nearly in half as players dropped like flies during the opening levels.

The pace of play continued to ramp up and by the dinner break just 34 players remained as notables such as Ricardo Eyzaguirre (133rd), Andrew Brinkley (93rd), TJ Reid (90th), Jeffrey Trudeau (83rd),  Luis Yepez Carmona (67th), and start of day chip leader Thomas Beckstead (42nd) all failed to advance passed the halfway point of the day.

One player who did find himself still in the hunt after the dinner break was 2025 WSOPC Cherokee Main Event Champion Zachary Fischer but his quest for a second title at this venue was cut short in 34th place by A.J. Kelsall right after returning from the break.

At the final three table redraw plenty of notables still remainded in the field but they too would fall short of finding bags as Robert (25th place for $12,604), Nick Pupillo (26th place for $12,604), Jason Dewitt (23rd place for $12,604), Jared Ward (20th place for $12,604), Ian O'Hara (18th place for $12,604), and Nicholas Rigby (12th place for $18,930) all made deep runs but in the end came up short in their quest to add another piece of hardware to the trophy case.

That wraps up Day 2 coverage! Check back tomorrow around 12:00 pm as we continue to play down to a winner!

Level 27 - 50,000/100,000/100,000 - 11 Remain

On the turn with a board reading and about 600,000 in the middle, David Sathue bet 200,000 and Donta Moss moved all in for roughly 2,500,000.

Sathue went deep into the tank and started talking the hand out loud before Moss called the clock on him.

The floor counted down the 30 seconds, and Sathue sent his hand into the muck.

After some goading from the rail, Moss slammed face up on the table.

Nicholas Rigby eliminated in 12th place ($18,930)
